75 INSPIRING SOLUTIONS FROM CSRD FIRST USER REPORTS

The recent adoption of the Corporate Social Responsibility Directive (CSRD) by the European Union is a breakthrough. This directive, together with its core European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), will revolutionize the way businesses report their environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. And while reporting to these standards won't begin until the 2024 reporting cycle, starting in early 2025, the winds of change are already blowing.

Already in the reporting year of 2023, we have seen pioneers step up to the plate and decide to publish their practices in accordance with these new standards at least a year in advance. Even more interestingly, even companies expected to be compliant after 2024 have eagerly embraced the directive and recognized the value of complying with these new standards and regulations. (DR.
