Remaking democracy in a new climate

Democracy is critical in a climate-endangered world. We will lose him the essence of justice and equality as a result of the many wars that plague us today? The year 2024 will in many ways determine the shape and future of democracy as we know it today. This year, about half of the world's adult population will vote for their government. The question is whether the current idea of democracy will survive next year, or whether it will be transformed. We are already seeing the rise of right-wing governments around the world, fueled by fear-driven electorates and polarized politics. Will democracy be reduced to just the act of casting votes and the subsequent triumph of the majority? The idea and practice of democracy was about free speech, dissent and strong institutions of balancing power. Will we lose it because of the many wars we see in our world today?
