The need to see the wood for the trees

Is the ETS really just holding emissions back from escalating? Are you really not reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions? Time is running out fast towards the eventual extinction of animals, even humans. However, the government's push last month to change ETS settings to reduce emissions is causing "extreme concern" among foresters. Forestry has so far been the only climate change initiative to try to keep emissions low, says the New Zealand Forest Owners Association (FOA). This is at a time when technology is being developed to replace fossil fuels and other greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, you are in a hurry to increase the fastest growth and the fastest carbon compensation of exotic conifers. (Jim Childerstone)
