After the flood, storms await Formula 1 in the race to reach zero carbon

Formula 1 comes with a carbon emissions cost that contributes to the rising floods that paid off at the Imola race weekend, and the sport has long been a visible polluter as it criss-crosses the globe. Now boasting a comprehensive plan to tackle it, climate experts are asking the F1 question: is it enough? F1 correctly decided to cancel the Imola race last Wednesday. The region suffered from a devastating period of adverse weather in May. Eight people died and 5,000 were forced to leave their homes.  Miestny official described the amount of rainfall as "a catastrophic event that has never been recorded". (Giles Richards)
