We are a 24/7 research institute and operational service, producing global numerical weather forecasts and other data for our member and partner nations and the wider community. The center has one of the largest supercomputing facilities and meteorological data archives in the world. Other strategic activities include providing advanced training and assistance WMO in the implementation of its programs. We are a key player in the Copernicus programme, the Earth observation component of the European Union's space programme, which offers quality information on climate change (Copernicus Climate Change Service), atmospheric composition (Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Service), flood and fire hazards (Copernicus Management Service emergency situations of the Copernicus program), and through the EU initiative Destination Earth we are developing prototypes of digital twins of the Earth.
